CLOTHES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT —
COMFORT, STYLE AND CLIMATE

FROM THE

Ceo's Office

Girl Of Muse is a passion project of mine- Passion drives me to do what I love; I believe that when you're passionate about something, you'll do whatever it takes to make your dreams reality.

When I created Girl Of Muse, I wanted to create a club that combines a love of fashion with a mission of spreading positivity. Girl Of Muse is my answer, an ethical and sustainable brand that inspires people to be the best version of themselves; by creating sustainable essentials that can’t be found on the high street, each with a unique inspirational message for the wearer.

I love everything about it (our club), from the design process to the feedback on our club members’ experience when shopping with us. We’re making a difference in the world by creating beautiful, high-quality garments that last, carrying a positive message that makes people feel good!

Thank you for joining us on this journey of positivity!

THIS IS OUR JOURNEY WITH YOU TO MAKE OUR COMPANY MORE
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Materials

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. Having one common standard means textile processors and manufacturers can export their fabrics and garments with one organic certification that is accepted in all major markets. This also gives our members the power to choose truly sustainable products made from materials such as recycled polyester sourced from green supply chains which we love! We have chosen to use GOTS certified cotton in our products in order to obtain a valid and internationally recognised certificate that guarantees our customers the use of natural fibres from sustainable organic farming.

Did you know?

A textile product carrying the GOTS label must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibres, a product with the label grade 'organic' must contain a minimum of 95% certified organic fibres.

Hadmade

We rely on a family business in Europe, all our pieces are handmade and custom designed. The company has been handed down for generations, guaranteeing quality which is what we look for in our clothing.
Why did we make this choice? We made this choice as anything that is handcrafted or finished by a human hand acquires that extra value, that characteristic of warmth and originality. Also, handmade clothes are made sustainably, without any emissions of any kind, which is better for the environment. Who wouldn’t want to place a guilt free order which also helps our planet?

FSC Hang Tags

The hangtags on our clothes are all made from FSC-certified paper. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Through responsible management of forests, and verifying the use of recycled materials, the FSC system will ensure that biological diversity and its associated values, water resources, soils and ecosystems are preserved. Through our partnership with Ecologi every order placed equals one tree planted in our forest a contribution to our mission in pursuing global reforestation. We currently have 6,348 trees planted in our Girl Of Muse forest, how amazing is that?!

Packaging

Our garment bags are made of TDPA plastic. TDPA is an oxo-biodegradable plastic. This means that that the garment bags degrade when thrown into the ground, in the presence of microorganisms, moisture and oxygen at a controlled rate. They degrade in 2-3 years, depending on product applications and the environment. We hate waste and make sure what little we have is disposed of responsibly.
Our mailers are eco - friendly and are biodegradable, recyclable, compostable and even the inks are vegan and water based!
As you can see, we are also very conscious about reducing the amount of plastic waste which is great!

Deliveries

We have chosen DPD as our trusted delivery partner because they are the most sustainable delivery company in the UK and have an extraordinary goal to be the greenest on the planet. DPD currently have over 1500 electric vehicles operating to deliver your orders and their aim is to continue the growth of making sure all deliveries are by electric. DPD also re-use and recycle the wooden pallets used in their depots and the money generated from both these initiatives goes straight into their Eco Fund. We love this and this is why we choose DPD!

A few Climate Projects we've supported

Thank you for being a part of the club!

This page is a means for us to record our progress on our journey towards sustainability. A report - of how far we've come and how much further we have left to go!

We all have a role to play in creating a more sustainable future, and that includes the fashion industry. By making small changes in how we approach fashion, we can create big impacts for the environment.
